What Maxine carries in her blood has drawn the attention of the Draveth, a faction that abandoned the Accord’s peace in 1896 and has been building toward something ever since. ABOUT THE BOOK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bloodright<\/em> is a dark romantasy told in dual point of view. It is a slow burn. It takes consent seriously as a framework, not a plot device. It is set in Ashmore, a fictional British university city where vampires and humans have coexisted under a fragile political agreement for over a century \u2014 and where that agreement is beginning to crack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you read romantasy for the tension, the atmosphere, and the moment two people finally stop pretending \u2014 this book is for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bloodright<\/em> is Book One of the Bloodright Series. Book Two, Bloodline<\/em>, is in development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE AUTHOR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I write dark romantasy as K.W. Beckett and science fiction as Kayden Beckett. I live in Sumter, South Carolina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have been writing since I was sixteen. At forty, Bloodright<\/em> is the first story I finished. I am albino, legally blind, and have limited use of my left arm following a stroke at birth. I intend to keep going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My science fiction owes an honest debt to James S.A. Corey and The Expanse<\/em> \u2014 the book that showed me what the genre could do when it took its characters seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
